You are a very lucky guy and I am jealous! I'm just a big fan who's trying to save up to buy my son a go-kart. Do you have any thoughts on the Car of Tomorrow? I didn't like it quite as much as the current car; it seemed too boxy and everyone's spoilers are black. I'm also secretly wondering if Jeff Burton will be purple all year or if he'll have the cingular paint job again. Let's see who grabs the pole for Saturday.
I never liked go karts after my cousin caught her arm in the drive chain when we were kids. Ripped it up pretty bad.
Most of the motorsports I do aren't road racing. They're Land Rovers off road. I had two magazine covers this winter, and I just realized they aren't even on my web site, because I've been so busy with my books.
Here's a Jaguar photo from another magazine http://www.pbase.com/robisonphoto/image/67049216
I have not done any NASCAR photography since 2001. It sure was noisy there in the infield!
The McLaren belongs to one of our customers. It's a neat car. Here's the home where it lives, with about 50 other cars . . http://www.robisonservice.com/eventpix/RR_meet/pages/DSC_6871.htm

Are you involved in racing with one of the teams, or are you a serious fan?
I have photographed Nascar teams professionally, and I'm a track inspector for Porsche and BMW club racing.
best, John Robison

That McLaren photo is really cool. It's amazing how clear the reflection is.
