After the marathon in Kansas last Sunday, I am looking forward to high speeds and clear skies at the Talladega Superspeedway.
September 30th was a testament to the maxim that cautions breed more cautions in a frustrating race for a number of the chasers. After waiting out two rain delays and eleven cautions, I set my hopes on watching a white-green flag for a race to the checkered flag. Despite the Nascar judgement to shorten the race to 200 laps, a final call ended the race with one lap to go and the drivers followed the pace car across the finish. Sigh. Though Biffle seemed happy about the win, I'm sure he would have preferred it from racing to the end.
In summation, if I win the lottery, I plan to buy lights for Kansas Speedway.
On to happier events: October 7th is nearly here!
